Katie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Supervision designation and has been practicing psychotherapy for 10 years.

Katie earned her Masters of Social Work, with special focus in rural social work, from Ohio University in 2014. She is nationally certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She sees children and adults, ages five and older. She has experience with child and family therapy, depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, anger management, and spiritual issues. She specializes in healing from traumas such as, narcissistic abuse, domestic and sexual violence, family of origin abuse, and workplace bullying. Other specializations include codependence, postpartum concerns, body image issues, and neurodivergence, like ADHD or Autism.

Katie uses a variety of approaches, including Spiritual and Faith-based, Narrative, Emotion-focused, Somatic, Play, Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapies.  

Humility, grace, hope, courage, strength, and love are some of the values Katie brings into the therapy room. As a trauma survivor, she understands the imperative of a therapeutic relationship that is safe, respectful, and encouraging. She believes we learn and grow best when we don’t have to fear criticism, and can expect warmth and honesty. Katie also understands the dynamic nature of the healing and growth process–she is able to hold space, process, and teach usable tools.
