Stress Management
Stress has been implicated as a culprit in many physical and emotional illnesses. Yet, our culture is suffering from more intense and diverse stressors than ever before. From war and natural disasters to increased violence and faithlessness in relationships, many people become overwhelmed with the strain of uncertainty and hurt. Resiliency There are ways to increase our energy, see our situations in a hopeful rather than a hopeless light, and engage in self-care practices that can help us become more resilient in the face of stressors. If a period of increased stress is affecting you physically, emotionally, or cognitively, it may be helpful to see a therapist to help you clarify the issues, and learn to cope better.
